Summary
Both trials were single-center, open-label, sequential phase 1 trials, each enrolling 16 healthy participants (age range 22 to 55 years in Trial 03 and 25 to 55 years in Trial 06). Each was sized to characterize an interaction of 20% or 25%, and the authors state the trials were not powered to show the absence of an effect. AUC0-inf ratios were based on 3 of 16 participants for repaglinide and 8 of 16 for rosuvastatin. Celiprolol is also a P-glycoprotein substrate and rosuvastatin is also an OATP2B1 substrate. Treatment days differed between treatments, which limits comparison of adverse event counts. The sponsor funded both trials, and 5 authors are its employees.
